With an individual personal accident policy, the insured gets covered for loss of life, disabilities & even loss of income due to an accident.
Who Can Buy This Policy?
Any individual between 18 and 65 years of age can buy this policy for oneself, their spouse, dependent children (91 days - 23 years), parents & parents-in-law.

Accidental Death- Accidental Death + Permanent Total Disability (PTD)
- Accidental Death + Permanent Total Disability (PTD) + Permanent Partial Disability (PPD)
- Accidental Death + Permanent Total Disability (PTD) + Permanent Partial Disability (PPD) + Temporary Total Disability (TTD)

What’s Not Covered Under Individual Personal Accident Insurance?
- Suicide or attempted suicide
- Self-inflicted injury
- While inebriated or under the influence of drugs or hallucinogens, or any medication not prescribed by a doctor.
- Due to participating in actual or attempted felony, riot, crime, or civil commotion.
- Participation in hazardous activities such as sky diving, parachuting, scuba diving, bungee jumping, etc.
- Committing breach of law with criminal intent.

FAQs About Individual Personal Accident Insurance
This policy is designed to cover loss of life, disabilities, and income due to accident. Accidental Death is covered in your base policy, while Permanent Total Disablement, Permanent Partial Disablement and Temporary Total Disablement are optional covers available under this policy.
There are no deductibles under the policy except if you have opted for Temporary Total Disablement, where in there is a deductible of first week of claimed period.
SBI General’s Individual Personal Accident Insurance Policy is available for a one year period only.
Hospital Confinement Allowance and Ambulance Expenses (including air ambulance) are available as add-on covers under this policy.
Anyone in the age group of 18- 65 years can buy this policy.
You can opt for Hospital Confinement Allowance under the policy that pays for per day of accidental hospitalization for maximum up to 15 days in a policy period. You can opt for a per day allowance of Rs.1000/ Rs. 2000/ Rs.3000 under this benefit.
