    Testimonial

    Mr. Ashok Mistry, Satyaniketan Trust
At Satyaniketan Trust, we work with a vision rooted in Sarvodaya values of truth and non-violence, supporting the public and especially marginalized communities. Our Sarvodaya Vidya Mandir at Rajur village serves nearly 2,000 students each year. Our Tribal Girls Hostel, over five decades old, had become unsafe and required rebuilding. The new hostel, designed for 100 tribal girls, will include essential facilities such as a kitchen, dining hall, recreation area, medical and recovery rooms, and proper residential and hygiene spaces. This project will allow girls from nearby tribal regions—spread across 50 kilometres—to access education with dignity and stability. SBI General stepped in with generous support, enabling us to bring this much needed infrastructure to life. Their contribution has turned our vision of quality education for tribal girls into reality.”

The IIS is an attempt to meet the training and infrastructure needs of these talented young athletes through a collaborative effort that brings together private sector partners. SBI General has implemented a truly commendable project for schoolgirls. The new restrooms provide essential facilities such as toilets, bathrooms, beds, sanitary pads, a sanitary-pad disposal machine, a small reading library, and a dedicated changing area—making it possible for girls to stay comfortably in school throughout the day. Earlier, due to absence of restroom facilities many adolescent girls avoid coming to school during their menstrual cycle. Those who did attend often had to walk several kilometres back home, escorted by another girl, simply because there was no safe alternative. This led to significant loss of school days and created barriers in their education. Today, with the newly constructed restrooms, this challenge has been completely resolved. School absenteeism has reduced drastically, and the girls are able to maintain regular attendance and continuation of studies. I strongly believe such restrooms should be available in every middle and high school across the sub-district, as they can make a tremendous difference in girls’ education.
