The network hospital will verify your identity and submit a duly filled pre-authorization form, along with relevant documents, to SBI General Insurance.

FAQs about Super Health Insurance

  • Maternity Expenses including Pre-natal Medical Expenses (from the date of confirmation of pregnancy) & Post-natal check-ups (up to eight weeks from delivery) incurred in respect of the hospitalization of the Insured Person for the delivery of the child during the Policy Period.
  • In case of Insured person -
    • Single Adult on an individual basis - Eligible for the claim under this benefit, after a waiting period of 48 months from the date of issuance of the first policy, provided that the policy has been renewed continuously without any break and at least 4 continuous annual premiums under the Policy has been received.
    • For any other family combination – Eligible for the claim under this benefit, after a waiting period of 24 months from the date of issuance of the first policy, provided that the policy has been renewed continuously without any break and at least 2 continuous annual premiums under the Policy has been received.
  • Maternity Expenses incurred in connection with the voluntary medical termination of pregnancy during the first 12 weeks from the date of conception shall not be admissible under this Benefit. Medical Expenses for ectopic pregnancy are not covered under this Benefit.

Fresh waiting period of 36 months in case of Single Adult on Individual basis and 24 months in case of other Family combination would apply for all the policies which are issued with continuity under Portability guidelines either from our existing Health Product or any other Insurance Company.

"Family" means spouse, dependent children, parents and parents-in-law "Individual" means Self, legally married spouse, son, son-in-law, daughter, daughter-in-law, father, mother, brother, brother-in-law, sister, sister-in-law, mother-in-law, father-in law, grandmother, grandfather, grandson, granddaughter, uncle, aunt, nephew, niece, or any other relationship having an insurable interest. "Family Floater" means Self, legally married spouse, dependent children (natural/legally adopted), Parents and/or Parents-in-law.
