Through the merger of 5 Associate Banks, SBI
Group has significantly extended its reach,
and network and will benefit from common
treasury pooling. SBI now finds itself amongst

pool of Rs. 10,50,702 crore, with 22,311
branches and 51,808 ATMs. State Bank of India
is today going through a momentous phase of

 <li>Dr. A. K. Saxena resigned from the Board w.e.f. 20th August 2020 due to personal reason.</li>
 <li>Shri Rajnish Kumar resigned from the Board w.e.f. close of business of 6th October 2020 due to completion of his term.</li>
 <li>Shri Pushan Mahapatra retired from the Board w.e.f. close of business of 31st December 2020 due to completion of his term as Whole Time Director.</li>
 <li>Shri Prakash Chandra Kandpal resigned from the Board w.e.f. close of business of 4th July 2022 due to his repatriation at State Bank of India as DMD (Retail).</li>
 <li>Shri Ashwini K. Tewari ceased to be the Member of the Board w.e.f. close of business of 14th July 2022 due to his resignation.</li>
 <li>Smt. Saloni Narayan ceased to be the Member of the Board w.e.f. 22nd August 2022 due to her resignation.</li>
 <li>Shri Mahender Kumar Garg retired from the Board w.e.f. 26th August 2022 due to completion of his term as Independent Director.</li>
 <li>Shri Paritosh Tripathi resigned from the Board w.e.f. close of business of 3rd October 2022 due to his repatriation at State Bank of India.</li>
 <li> Shri K. K. Mishra retired from the Board w.e.f. 9th December 2022 due to completion of his term as Independent Director.</li>
 <li>Shri D. Sundaram retired from the Board w.e.f. 12th December 2022 due to completion of his second term as Independent Director.</li>
 <li>Shri Swaminathan Janakiraman, Non- Executive Director (nominated by State Bank of India) of the Company has tendered his resignation from directorship of the Company with effect from June 26, 2023, consequent upon his appointment as Deputy Governor, Reserve Bank of India.</li>
<li>Shri Anandprasad Pejawar, Whole-time Director resigned from the Board w.e.f. 30th May 2024 due to his health condition.</li>
<li>Shri Kishore Kumar Poludasu resigned from the Board w.e.f. opening hours of Business day on 18th June 2024 due to his repatriation at State Bank of India.</li>
<li>Shri Dinesh Kumar Khara (DIN: 06737041) has tendered his resignation as Director from the Board of Company w.e.f. closing of business hours on 27th August 2024 due to completion of his terms as Chairman at State Bank of India and supperannuation. </li>
 <li>Dr. Ashima Goyal retired from the Board w.e.f. close of business hours of 24th September 2025 due to completion of her second term as an Independent Director.</li>
<li>Shri Debangshu Munshi resigned as a SBI Nominee Director from the Board of Company w.e.f. closing of business hours on 30th September 2025 due to superannuation at State Bank of India.</li>

SBI General Insurance Company Limited commenced its operations as a joint venture between State Bank of India (SBI) and Insurance Australia Group (IAG). Pursuant to stake sale by IAG on 27th March 2020, SBI now owns 70%, while Napean Opportunities LLP (Premji Invest affiliate) owns 16.01%, Honey Wheat Investment Ltd., an entity forming part of Warburg Pincus Group owns 9.99%, PI Opportunities Fund-1 owns 2.35% and Axis New Opportunities AIF-I owns 1.65% stake in SBI General Insurance.
 The company offers a wide range of general insurance products in retail and commercial space at affordable prices to make insurance accessible to all individuals and businesses.
