Checklist Of Documents

Here Is The List Of Documents We Will Need To Process Your Reimbursement Claim Request.

  • Duly filled and signed claim form.
  • Copy of Registration Book, for vehicle which is less than 3 months old and registration certificate is not available, tax receipts and vehicle purchase invoice (Please furnish original for verification)
  • Copy of Motor Driving License of the person driving the vehicle at the time of accident (Please furnish original for verification)
  • Pan Card/Form 60
  • Police Panchnama/FIR (In case of Third party property damage/ Death/Body Injury/Fire/Malicious Damage Claims)
  • Estimate for repairs from repairer where vehicle is to be repaired
  • Repair Bills/Invoices after the jobs is completed
  • Payment receipts after the jobs is completed
  • Cancelled cheque (In case of non-cashless settlement)
  • For losses above 1 Lakh KYC documents are required as listed below:
      1. Individual
      • Pan Card Copy or Form 60
      • Passport, Voter's ID card, Driving License, Aadhaar Card, Job Card issued by NREGA, or any other documents approved by the Government.
      • Photograph of Insured
      2. Companies
      • Certificate of incorporation/Memorandum & Articles of Association (Mandatory)
      • PAN Card copy of the company (Mandatory)
      • A resolution of the Board of Directors and Power of Attorney granted to transact on its behalf (Mandatory)
      • Documents required for an individual to transact on the company's behalf
      3. Partnership Firms
      • Registration certificate OR Partnership deed (Mandatory)
      • PAN Card copy of the Partnership firm (Mandatory)
      • Documents required for an individual to transact on the firm’s behalf
      4. Trusts and Foundations
      • Registration Certificate OR Trust Deed (Mandatory)
      • PAN Card copy/Form 60 of the Trust (Mandatory)
      • Documents required for an individual to transact on the foundation's behalf
      5. Unincorporated association/body of individuals
      • Resolution of the managing body of association or body of individuals OR Power of attorney granted to him to transact on its behalf (Mandatory)
      • PAN Card copy/Form 60 of the unincorporated association/body of individuals (Mandatory)
      • Documents required for an individual to transact on the association's behalf
      • Documents required to establish the legal existence of such an association/body of individuals
      6. Juridical Persons
      • Document showing name of the person authorized to act on behalf of the entity
      • Certified document with details of his identity and address, one recent photograph, PAN Card copy/Form 60
      • Documents required to establish the legal existence of such an entity/juridical person

Please note the timeline: - Surveyor Appointment within 24 HR. Surveyor report submission within 15 days from Surveyor Appointment. Decision on claim with in 7 days from receipt of survey report. Settlement of claim within 7 days of receipt of Surveyor Report documents / Last documents.

A Comprehensive Motor Policy generally covers losses arising out of perils like accident, flood, theft, fire, landslide, riots, strike or act of terrorism and any natural calamity.

Cashless is an arrangement where claim payment is made to the repairer directly after completion of repairs. SBI General has over 7000+ Cashless workshops and Insured has wide choice of workshops to choose as per his convenience.

In case Insured chooses to repair at a place of his choice, we offer reimbursement of the claim in favour of Insured on receipt of repair invoice and all other documents.

It does not matter where the accident takes place. If your motor insurance policy is in force, you will remain insured throughout the country.

The claim will be settled as per policy T & C including applicable Add on coverages opted in policy.
